1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Here's your chance to buy an extremely clean example of what Hagerty Classic Cars has called a "Muscle car bargain".
If the Monte Carlo is not already on your radar it really should be. These cars are mechanically very similar to the Chevelle but at a fraction of the cost. The styling is muscular and clean, and they drive very well. They were offered with similar engine lineups as the Chevelle but GM did not market them as muscle cars when they were new, so they've been flying under the radar until recently.
This particular 1970 has excellent paint, excellent interior and is in very good mechanical condition. We drive it regularly and have already put several hundred trouble free miles on the car. With its variable-assist power steering and power disc brakes it actually drives more like a modern car than one would expect. Is a great balance of cool styling, appreciating vakue and practical driver.
The suspension is tight, the brakes are strong and linear, and it is a pleasure to drive. This is a southern car with a very straight and solid body. The 350 V8 runs well, sounds great and the 3-speed automatic shifts smoothly and quickly.
If you don't buy it then this time next year you'll be saying you wish you bought one before the prices went up.
